Apparently Goddess is a word not to be used in marketing … well here are my thoughts

The word Goddess – does it trigger you? Do you embrace it when someone says it to you and / or do you think its just overused these days?

I’ve seen a lot of posts lately that kind of got me uppity – The ole marketing ones that ask:

WHICH WORDS DO YOU HATE SEEING? (maybe that was harsh it might have said WORDS THAT ARE OVERUSED, or WORDS THAT MAKE YOU CRINGE !

And Damn it Goddess always comes up when I go stalking them.

I’ve had conversations with friends about it. They have even said no I’m not a Goddess, I’m more of a High Priestess or I’m a something else.

And all is fine with that.

I personally felt I spent last year rejecting part of my Goddess – ness if I admit it.

I got caught up in What other people thought about it – so I hid her away for a little bit. (those who know my leaving my car down the road and ruffling up my hair story) will get this.

BUT now she’s back in full force – just as the Marketing gurus are saying its so “old skool”

Goddess is not a Marketing word . (except for Green Goddess salad dressing which is yum by the way)

Goddess to me represents my fierce AND feminine essence.

To deny that in me – is to deny that the sun is hot.

I’m going on a little tangent here and I might come and do a live in the Goddess Inner Circle soon about it in more depth, if I get riled up enough hehe.

But its ok that it’s so “80’s” in some eyes.

What I feel is that if this word triggers you a bit – go towards it and ask why?

Are you denying this Divine aspect of yourself? Do you feel its too high of an expectation to reach? Are you more aligned with Angel energy or shamanism (which is soooooo awesome by the way) Do you think its wishy washy and all hip scarf dancing on the beach like a loony? (which I have done and will still do when I want to)

At the end of the day Goddess is not just a word – it’s a way of Being. Do not deny your Divine self (that word Divine was listed too)

Replace Goddess with what ever lights your fire – just remember that no amount of MARKETING mumbo jumbo can hide who you really are.

There were also good comments that said some businesses who use the word Goddess especially if that aligns with who they are (I think they knew I was stalking ))
